THE CHOICE
We realize that the human walks like a thin line every day. There is nothing between us and cars going very fast, except a thin line of paint on the street. For these people at the Homeless Shelter in Charleston, they have sometimes swerved over that line. We then become aware of this thin line between heaven and earth. In this picture, a man can choose to be a father to his child, but the police car is a constant reminder of another choice. This painting has a story. All of these paintings have a story. The line is thin indeed. Ghosts are everywhere.
